PROFESSIONAL OBJECTIVE: I am seeking a position as a Marketing Communications Specialist –Public Relations Account Manager, with a strong leaning toward active project deployment (start to finish).  I am seeking a position where I may contribute to full public relations /editorial projects. I am seeking employment within not for profits, organizations, associations, government agency (Public Affairs Office) and selected private sector companies (financial, information technology, law, health related).

I would like to work for a federal agency or an organization that sorely needs someone who is a seasoned professional in accessing power and connecting the right organziations for meaningful strategic outcomes. These same organizations have clients who have an urgent need to deploy an idea, have it come to fruition and achieve the goal intended. Facilitated and worked with executive management teams and marketing / public relations departments. Responsibilities included writing and editing executive and staff biographies, press releases (AP Style), writing and distributing company and organizational press releases with clients over PR Newswire, Business Wire and PR Web. Also worked with internal and external website departments of HighViz clients, to post releases and content on (the) websites. This task aided in developing improved methodologies and systems for gathering news stories that are important to the organization and making them accessible within government bureaus and the general public. 

Day to day editorial responsibilities included responding to requests for in-depth searches using Lexis-Nexis, Dow Jones, the Internet and other online tools and print sources; fielding all media inquiries and acting or forwarding them to public relations spokespersons; establishing and developing effective relationships with editorial organizations, client organizations and prime contractor (company) vendors; negotiating and managing vendor contracts; developing and maintaining archives of information for media and analysts, including speeches and presentations, photo and press kit materials; compiling media coverage reports; coordinating monthly executive photo shoots; maintaining press release e-archive.

Public Relations and Event /seminar planning: Skills utilized for customers included communication strategies for clients, often with a recommendation of a key marketing and branding concept. Skilled in editing federal documentation. Event planning, meeting facilitation. Public Affairs: SNAPSHOT: Native American business expert: contributed to HUBZone concept “Agua Caliente HUBZone Business Project” for Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, client of Greenberg Traurig, LLP during 2003-2005.. ( HUBZone Military Project) also working with the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs and the US Small Business Administration on behalf of the Agua Caliente, Chitimacha and Youngbird Indian Tribes (under Greenberg Traurig)  

This work also resulted in initiatives on behalf of the soldier for "wounded warriors", SDVOB contracting initiatives (Small Disadvantaged Veteran Owned Businesses) and supporting the USO  Metropolitian Washington and Women in Defense.

Special mention: HighViz/Abbe Buck has also in federal contracting in contracts and proposal+  capture management, duties included working to secure a $50 MM for Bearing Point during FY 2007, $6 Million contract with the US EPA (Government set-aside for Information Experts, 2004: subcontractor to Northrop Grumman on US Army accounts (in 2002 ,2004 under DSA, Inc.);
